Changes to duplicate content when editing one item

I want changes i make to say a button on one breakpoint to be applied across all breakpoints. Looks like I need to duplicate my work for every move. What am I missing?

Make it a symbol, this way every time you make a change all the items that are the same symbol change in the whole site.
