Hyperlinks in CMS editor not formatting properly

While writing my latest blog post, I have found the hyperlinks are not properly formatting. Instead of linking just the selected word or phrase, it will link the entire line. In the CMS editor this doesn’t look like a problem, but in the Live View, it screws up the entire line of text. Here’s what it looks like:

All is good in the text editor…

The selected hypertext is alone on a line.

When I try to align the sentence, the entire thing becomes a hyperlink.

This seems to be a bug, but if there’s an answer for this that I’m missing, I’d love to hear it! Thanks!

Hey @Ben_P can you please share your read-only link so that we can further assist you? I think this is a styling issue that can be quickly resolved

Thank you,

Waldo

Hey @Ben_P

I went to your “Formatting” page and added a rich text block and gave it a class of “articleBody” (as you’re using this on your article template).

Then I highlighted a word and added a link to it, then clicked on that link element and styled “all links” to display as “Inline”.

Here’s a quick video of the process, this should resolve the issue for all links in rich text blocks anywhere on the site.

Let me know if you have any questions please.

Thank you,

This is great! Thank you, I think we’re all set.

Originally I thought you made the changes for me and I was confused why it still wasn’t working. But after going through the steps myself, I made sure they saved. Thanks again!

Hey @Ben_P I was just editing in the Read-Only link, so any changes I make will not be saved, but it allows us to show one another how things are built or how to make changes. Glad I could help, please let me know if you have any other questions. Site is coming along very nicely!

Thank you,

Waldo
