I am using 6 seconds simply to make it visually obvious. All values return the default.

Aha! I have the solution. But first, let me complement you on your design skills. Even this sample you made looks amazing. I love the typography for what it’s worth. But I digress…
The problem is you’ve actually changed the wrong property in the transition. You changed the wait time until the NEXT transition. I believe what you’re looking for is to change the actual transition time.
To be fair, the UI there isn’t super intuitive. Both feature a stopwatch/clock icon and there’s nothing to immediately indicate the effect.
I have used transitions 1000’s of times - nuts! 3 days almost no sleep and in a rush and you can dial in an IQ of 0.1!
