Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Webflow community forum. Connect with 67,000+ members who are contributing to Webflow’s mission and building the future of visual development. This forum is a place for designers and creators to share knowledge and support one another as they create the most innovative and efficient web experiences out there.

In order to help you navigate this large community and to help you make the most out of it, we’ve put together some guidelines in an effort to facilitate constructive conversations for all. Please make sure you take the time to read them!

The basics

We have a straight forward community code of conduct and ask you to respect these few, simple rules :pencil2: :

  • Be both constructive and kind: we encourage constructive feedback between community members; however, we will not tolerate disrespectful comments, personal attacks, threats, discrimination, trolling or site bashing. We ask that you treat this community as you would like to be treated, and remember there’s always a person on the other side of the screen! Kindness is cool, after all.
  • Help us keep the forum tidy and organized: before starting a new thread, search existing discussions (click the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner) and use the forum functionalities. If you’re new to online forums and need help to get started, simply type @discobot display help anywhere to start interacting with our welcome chatbot.
  • Avoid spamming: help us improve the discussion by respecting the topics and people discussing them, posting relevant and constructive answers and staying away from advertising and irrelevant comments.
  • Respect and support our Webflow community forum moderators: the moderators have earned the highest level of trust in this forum and therefore, have been granted the ability to flag or ban users or remove content that doesn’t comply with these guidelines. Keep in mind, that our forum moderators are humans, and like all humans, can use a little help along the way.

Do’s and Don’ts of the forum

Do :white_check_mark:

  • Post in the correct category! This is the fastest way to get a relevant answer to your important questions and brilliant remarks. You can find a list of all categories here, including the guidelines for how to post in each category.
  • Give constructive, actionable feedback and criticize designs, not humans.
  • Respect one another. Don’t harass anyone, impersonate people, or expose their private information.
  • Respect the forum. Don’t post spam or otherwise disrespect the forum.
  • Have a feature request? The Webflow Wishlist is the best place to put it.
  • Think you’re experiencing a platform bug? Check out the Webflow Status Page and be sure to contact our Support team directly (our support team is not able to provide assistance for your account-related issues in the forum).

Don’t :no_entry_sign:

  • Engage in disrespectful, mean, or discriminatory behavior. We want to keep this a happy place for all! Webflow takes a very strong stance against anti-racism and zero tolerance policy against discrimination of any kind.
  • Post a topic in the wrong category. That would be sad.
  • Cross-post the same thing in multiple topics. That would be overkill.
  • Divert a topic by changing it midstream. We love a good plot twist, but not on the forum.
  • Reply directly when you see bad behavior. Fight fire with… flags! Instead of acknowledging, and encouraging, the bad behavior, just flag it. Our staff and moderators will take it from there.

Moderation and moderators

Our forum provides tools that enable the community to collectively identify the best (and worst) contributions: favorites, bookmarks, likes, flags, replies, edits, and so forth. Use these tools to improve your own experience, and everyone else’s, too.

In addition to these features, we rely on a group of Webflow community forum moderators to keep this forum the best that it can be. Most of our moderators are community members, just like you, who are committed to growing and improving this community and making the design world a better place. :muscle:

They have moderator privileges in the forum and can be recognized by the “Community Leader” title and badge on their profile. They are responsible for this forum, but so are you. For members to have the best experience in this forum, everyone has a role to play. With your help, our community can grow and be a source of goodness and positivity for all. If you are interested in becoming a moderator in this forum, we would love to have you. Once you get to trustlevel3: Community Specialist, you become eligible to be considered for the moderator role in this forum.

In order to maintain the health and happiness of our community, moderators have the ability to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time. Webflow does not preview every new post in the forum and does not take responsibility for any unsuitable content posted by community members (we will, however, do our best to remove said content in a timely manner).

What will get you flagged or banned

  • Spamming the forum
  • Racism, sexism, homophobia/transphobia, ageism, body shaming/ harassment based on how someone looks or their disability, harassment based on religion (or lack thereof), harassment based on technology choices, and any other discriminatory behavior
  • Personal attacks against other forum users
  • Illegal or NSFW material and activities: we have a zero tolerance policy
  • Trolling: please help us keep this forum relevant and don’t post things that are completely off-topic. We trust you’ll exercise your best judgement here
  • Cross posting
  • Persistent negativity or disrespect that brings down the vibe in our community

This is a public forum, and search engines index these discussions. Please keep the language, links, and images safe and appropriate for the global community.

To report a code of conduct violation, you can direct message @WebflowCommunityTeam on this forum, send an email to events@webflow.com, or you may report an incident anonymously if you prefer.
