Absolute position inside Collection not working

WhatsApp Image 2020-10-09 at 14.52 4 Hi everyone

I am building an e-commerce. Inside the collection item, I have added a div block (scarf div) with inside a text (school name shop). I have added position absolute to the text and position relative to the div block but for some reason it stays absolute to the body.

Here is my read only link --> https://preview.webflow.com/preview/nash-arpetta?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=designer&utm_content=nash-arpetta&preview=8d97490f3358dfb4c0463cedd5d0d696&pageId=5f91b2a1fc1bc67a0ed70e9e&mode=preview

You can find attached the desired result (text on the side).

Can anybody help me understand why it’s not working please?

Thank you so much in advance.

Good

I don’t see that, I see that it’s absolute to the scarf div.

Here is how to get your expected result:

(values are in PX, it’s 12 and 12 px)

Close enough?

Hi @ginevrafwilliams,

I see the same as @vincent the text is is relative to the scarf container.

If you want to move the element, try adding some margin to the text element.

This will help you locate the text where you need it.

Hi Vincent, thank you sooo much!! it’s perfect!! I just don’t really understand why its says “body” in the absolute position panel. Shouldn’t it say the name of the div to which it is absolute to?

You are very right, I never look here.

@Brando this seems to be a bug, can I let you with this or do I need to link it somewhere?
