Accessibility requirements

Hi;

There are these new accessibility requirements for websites. What are good resources for what we need to do?

And not just for the HTML pages, but for videos, PDF, PPTX, DOCX, & XLSX files we have on the website.

thanks - dave

Which ones are you referring to.

What is required will also depend on where your company is located.

Anything & everything we need to do to comply.

We’re located in the U.S. but half our business is outside the U.S. So we need to be good by most country’s standards.

If you look at the requirements yourself, you will see that this is not trivial. Meeting WCAG 2.1, ADA, Section 508, AODA, EN 301549 and IS 5568 normally takes a ton of work. Are you needing multi-lingual site features as well? PM me and I will share a couple of solutions with you.

Hi webdev;

Thank you. However, I received a listing that appears to be a good summation and so we are going to start with that.

You should add an extra budget for this issue (add Transcript for example). Not so simple = Extra work for rules like this one:

youtube option:

Word/PPT
