Was just looking at the template http://webflow.com/template/FlyCMS and saw the sliding customer quotes. Is this something I can put together myself on my own site? Do I just need to use the slider widget? Is there a way to automate the sliding?

Yes, you can just use a slider widget and there will be a checkbox somewhere in the slider settings that will allow you to automate it.
