After Effects warning: Could not create the file. Access was denied

So since the new After effects update I have problems with exporting the animation to json with the bodymovin extension.

Does anyone have an idea how I can solve this?

I’m having the exact same problem. Hope someone has a solution.

Since this is either a bodymovin plugin or AE issue you would have better support prospects if you used the Adobe forums.

@Mark_Smit + @Chris_Patchel, did you have any luck with this? I just upgraded Bodymovin because of other issues and now I’m getting this as well.

I ended up using After Effects 2019 instead of 2020 and that fixed the permissions issue for me (with upgraded Bodymovin, though not sure if that part made a difference).

Yes, switching to AE 2019 worked for me as well. Now if I could just use jsons in the ‘Fixed’ position : / They continue to scroll no matter what I do.

Same, getting this in After Effects 2020.

Same issue here. I see the json file and I can upload it to the assets panel in Webflow, but the animation is a big blue blurry mess with what looks like a ? inside it

Hi Chris, sorry to bother you, but did you solve this After effect / lottie issue?
