Alt Tags for Background Images

Hey guys,

I was wondering if it would be possible/useful making an opacity tool and alt tags in background images. I am really into making opacity mask’s with textures so would be nice to take control of that. Alt Tags too, could be a valuable addend to SEO.

I know this can be achieve by making a div 100% wid/height and placing an image inside that but this tools could be a time save!

Thanks

This would be great! An easy fix right, Webflow?

Hi,

Is there a way to add an ALT tag to a background image? I can’t find a way for the images in a slider to act the way I want them, so I have to use background images. I am new to this, but as far as I understand, Google pays great attention at alt tags when rating, so I don’t want to lose that.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot.

Hi @sessionone

You can’t add an ALT tag for background images since that code lives in the CSS, not the HTML. But you can add custom attributes like “title” for your elements:
