Bonus product at checkout

I want to throw a bonus product into customers’ carts after they add a product to the cart. So they add product 1, and as a bonus, product 2 is automatically added to the cart. A good example of this is https://rainbowoptx.com/ . Anyone know if this is possible?

This isn’t currently possible as a native feature, but it might be possible with some custom code.

That said, I could see this being a pretty neat feature, so it may be worth adding the idea to the Wishlist.
