Cannot delete CMS date from my posts

#1

Hello -
I have followed all of the suggestions in the forum for deleting a CMS field, but I still get the error:
This field is currently used by either a Collection List on the site or inside a Collection Page. To delete this field, you’ll need to remove any references to it first.

The field I am trying to remove is the DATE of when a post was published. I don’t want it to appear on the post.

Can you help?

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.

Here is the spot where I’m trying to remove the date…

And below that is where it appears on the front end.

Uh sorry to be the bearer of, not so good news, but your collection is binded by date lists and template pages. I have not seen a way to delete a collection item still being used. Unless someone else has way, you’ll have to delete individually.

  1. Copy the project, give a different unique name, like: Sitename-DeletingCMSBindings
  2. Recall where the Members Collection is located throughout the site.
  3. Find each instance where that date is and delete the div/item.
  4. Then delete the Date field in the Members Collection.

I know right? Let’s holler out to the community, maybe there’s another way? :worried:

Hey Guys, is there another way?,
