Color change on hover

Hello all, I’m brand-new to Webflow. I watched quite a few tutorials, but I’m unable to create a simple color change on hover in the nav bar. The Webflow tutorial video I watched is based on an old UI, so it wasn’t that helpful.
When I click on “selector” in the “style” tab, I see the option to “select a class or tag” and while I do see a “hover” option, I don’t know how to make it work. I’m sure this is something very basic, but I just can’t figure it out.
I’ve scoured the forum for solutions, but couldn’t find any. If someone could help out, that’d be great.

Thanks in advance
