Conditional Visibility - Bug or am I doing this wrong?

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area (still a newb) but this really seems like a bug. Is this what is supposed to happen when you set conditional visibility on images? This doesn’t seem right?!?

The image is gone, but the placeholder is still there.

I think you need to set the conditions/filters on the item itself, and not a child element, otherwise, the item will still be there sans image.
