Designer view window is moved a little to the right

#1

I see this bug in webflow's designer. The workspace is moved just a bit to the right and I can't move it back to its original place. Is there some way to fix it? or do I need to wait for an update?

Thanks.

I've also had this for a while...

Hi @aerismel @patc This definitely sounds like strange behavior - I'm looking into it now with our team - as soon as I have more information, I'll email you immediately!

What browsers are you seeing this behavior in? Is it happening for all of your sites or just a select few?

Can you please try the following:
(1) Try to reproduce the error while being logged into Webflow using Incognito mode with browser extensions turned off: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464?hl=en
(2) If the problem persists, please take a screenshot of your Console and send it to me: https://developer.chrome.com/devtools/docs/console

Thanks in advance!

Not sure if it's a bug. Seems to be part of the resizing ability of the design panel.

Appears to be the same width as the resizer bar.

Thanks for your answer. I only use chrome and I see this problem in any project inside webflow, and all the time. It's happened for months now.

I tried using incognito mode and the same happens.

I attach a screenshot of the console.

@Waldo any update on this? thanks in advance

@patc @aerismel @Revolution this is actually not a bug and is expected behavior, if you resize the canvas you should be able to eliminate that extra space from the left side of the screen.

That extra space usually only shows up if you have scrollbars disabled on your computer.

Can you please confirm if that is the case on your side? Thanks in advance for your help!

agreed..................

I tried resizing the canvas and I can't. It seems like it's stuck without allowing me to resize it. So for me it seems like a bug.

Same here. Small grey bar on the left side appeared today. Happening on two different machines with newest chrome. Scrollbar on the right is fully visible, though.
The ruler at the bottom is adjusted correctly to the border of the content, so I assume it is not affecting anything.
Irritating nonetheless...

This is what you are referring it ?
- grey bar on the left side of the screen
- to the right of the add element, pages, collections icons ?

When you resize the panel

it displays

I do have that space on the left side of the workspace, but more of an issue/bug is the scrollbar that seems to be "stuck" behind the the right part of the workspace as you can see in the picture below.

It doesn't affect my ability to work, but it is annoying that it is stuck behind. The scrollbar is very thin, and in this case, it gets even thiner and more complicated to move it.

This seems like a bug. I see that most people don't have issues with their scrollbar, but I do and that is my problem and the reason I opened this thread.

Here is the image zoomed in so you can see that the scrollbar is behind.

@Waldo scrollbars are not disabled on any of my computers and this bug is present in all of them. Using Chrome and my problem looks just like the other screenshots above. I'm able to resize the window to make it smaller, but it won't budge past that small bar when I want to increase the viewport.
