Disable indexing toggle in site settings - double checking this keeps site hidden from Google?

Quick question for peace of mind:

In the project settings under SEO, there’s this indexing toggle. I just want to make absolutely sure that if I’ve got it toggled to yes, and therefore indexing set to disabled, that my site published to Webflow’s subdomain is NOT going to interfere with the site I have published on my regular domain. That’s what this is specifically for, correct?

The reason I ask is because I was reading through this exporting checklist and saw this mentioned:

21. Unpublish the webflow.io version of your site

Search engines hate duplicate content, and so do I! Make sure you unpublish the site from the Publish menu.

So…do I need to unpublish my site on webflow? Or does this little indexing toggle take care of this issue?

Thank you!

Hi @KPMT

The toggle should work fine, but you can check here for more information Disable search engine indexing | Webflow University
