Disappearing Menu Close Button

Hey All!
I’m building this site with a fairly common full-screen dropdown menu but unfortunately, my menu close button keeps disappearing when the menu is revealed. I’ve got it working on one other page, but it’s mostly broken.

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Please check out the share link for context on the nature of the issue.

Nav Scroll Animation on the Panel class is causing the issue. If you remove that interaction you’ll see the menu works fine. It turns into black X when open.
