Are you speaking about actual width and height of an image versus setting values on a class?
Yes, that’s correct.
That is due to the fact that the IMG element only supports the intrinsic height or width of the image, in pixels. That is the spec.

I can’t help you with feelings but there is a lot to keep track of in the world of web design. I have been building sites since the late 90’s and I still get tripped up occasionally. Can’t remember everything. So add it to the “this I will remember” column and cut yourself some slack. Cheers.
