DropBox/GoogleDrive Video Upload Link failure

Hi All,

I have read how others have done this in the past and I have followed the same instructions but I still get an invalid link!

I have a lightbox element on my website with video links. In the ‘lightbox settings’ tab I have added this drop box video link changing dropbox.com to dl.dropboxusercontent.com and also deleting ?dl=0:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/msj4mctp3a7o53z/Ibiza%20Trimmed.mp4

Just to check it wasn’t a lightbox incompatibility issue I added a video element and I still have the same issue.

Alternatively I also have google drive which I wouldn’t mind using instead. Again I’ve tried the google link but still having the same issue:

Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

Thanks in advance :smile:

Here is my public share link: LINK
(how to access public share link)

The Video support of Lightbox is only covering the Webflow video player, so the links you can put in the box are only Youtube and Vimeo links.

Oh right Ok. Is that the same for the video player too?

I believe the video player itself supports a few more sources. See here: https://university.webflow.com/article/video#supported-video-sources

Supported video sources

  • YouTube (if you want more control over your YouTube video, try using a YouTube video element)
  • Vimeo
  • DailyMotion
  • KickStarter (just paste in the main campaign URL and we’ll grab the main campaign video)
  • TED (multilingual support)
  • Wistia
  • Ustream
  • Livestream
  • Twitch
  • Tudou
  • Hulu
  • SproutVideo

changing the ?dl=0 to ?dl=1 allows you to embed the video using the ‘embed’ element.

<video width="100%" height="auto" controls="controls" >
<source src="LINK GOES HERE" type="video/mp4" />
</video>

Use that code inside the embed to have the video show up :slight_smile:
