Duplicate Pages confusion?

Hi All

I am duplicating a page in order to keep the same format, so I duplicate it, rename the new page, then I go to work changing such things as assets within sliders and text only to find my original page is changing also. If I rename an element it changes the original as well.
I know this isn’t right, what am I doing wrong?

If you are modifying an existing class then all elements that class is assigned to will be affected. Also, make sure you are not modifying symbols unintentionally.
