If I duplicate a page, the changes I make to the new page also appear on the original page. How can I duplicate but then make changes that only apply to the new page? Any suggestions?

that’s probably because of your elements having classes.
Changes to a class are affecting all elements with the same class regardless of the page. You could try use combo classes for changes:
