Fixed positioned link not behaving as intended

#1

Still having issues with the positioning of a fixed element which is also a link to an external page. Here is a screen recording of what is happening. Notice the blue YouTube pin is not scaling down or being responsive in unison with the background.

Here is a video that illustrates the problem:

Hello, @Brian_M_Fromknecht

Actually, the link is acting exactly as you set. It has fixed position, which depends on the body (browser screen) position. It always keeps distance 120px from the bottom and 19% from the right edge.

You will probably need to change the page structure if you want that blue pointer position depends on central image position.

Anna

Hey @Brian_M_Fromknecht if instead of having a fixed background image you had an actual fixed element on the page that was holding an Absolute positioned YoutTube pin, that would resolve the issue.

So try adding in a div that is about 80% of the width and a background image of the cases. Give it 50% or so bottom padding.

Then add an absolute positioned YouTube pin in there. :slightly_smiling:

Please let me know if this is helpful, if not, I'm happy to help further. :slightly_smiling:

@sabanna Hey Sabanna! thank you for your reply. I think you are on to something with the structure of the page's hero section. Would you have any suggestions I could give a try?

Here is what the pin is doing currently:
