Fixing Cumulative Layout Shift issues (CLS)

Does anyone have any experience with solving Cumualtive Layout Shift issues?

For example, this page on our site is receiving a score of 0.53 (way above the 0.1 target): https://www.dreambigtravelfarblog.com/blog/tropicfeel-review

Is there an obvious reason for this anyone can see? And no, there are no ads on this page

@webflow Any comment on Cumulative Layout Shift from you?

Also interested.

I know some of it has to do with design choices, but there are some things I just cannot fix after almost a year of trying.

I’ve just started digging into this some more.

According to Lighthouse, the CLS issue I am facing on this particular page is due to the Rich Text block on my page.

This is a simple page, and yet the Rich Text block is what is causing the CLS issue

How do I fix a CLS issue on a Rich Text block?! As far as I know there’s nothing I can do!

EDIT: Looking into this further, it doesn’t seem to just be Rich Text, but all text.

I am starting to think it could be a font issue, however I have my fonts uploaded to Webflow. Not using Google Fonts or Adobe Fonts.

I’d like to know how to resolve this issue too.

Is it possible “Lazy: loads on scroll” are causing this issue?

hi @Evan1 these are not an issues. There are only recommendations. Here is a video with some explanation. Do not forget to read comments. One of them is “Do as I say, Not as I do” This mean that Google is recommending something but do exactly opposite. While it make sense what he is saying do not take it as Googleligion. If you do you will end-up with static pages without any movement.
