Wondered if anyone had come across an issue with Font Awesome and Safari, whereby the width of the element is dictated by the glyph-code, rather than the icon itself?
Images attached to show you what I mean:
Really frustrating. Have tried to declare a width on the icon element (pictured below), but that then stops the icon rendering in the first place.

Found a solution to this in case anyone has this problem in future.
Rather than use the text-code (e.g arrow-right) - just copy and paste the glyph directly from the Font Awesome website:
