Freezing & Designer Not Working

I’m having serious issues with the design editor lately. It’s constantly freezing on me, not applying styles unless I toggle live view on and off (after each click nonetheless), and if I try to switch to a different template within my site, its just showing one website even though its reloading the content pane, and changing the name of the page being viewed.

I haven’t been able to get through my work day for the past 3 days, and it’s really putting me behind. I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this bug.

The most time I can get in a continuous work flow without any of these issues is about 30m, but it’s usually one of these issues happening within about 5-10 minutes of me refreshing. I have tried different browsers, restarting the browser, refreshing the page, restarting the computer, you know all the “it shouldn’t be this, but try it anyway” solutions.

Any help or advice on when this will stop happening?

Sounds nasty. Someone from the Webflow team should be able to take a look but you need to provide the read-only link to the project in question and at least tell which browser you are using.

Thanks for posting about this — it definitely sounds like a nasty issue.

I tested your sites but the Designer is running smoothly on this end without any issue.

Can you please try the following:

Could you also please let me know what browser version you’re using by sending me your information from this page?

I noticed your browser isn’t updated — could you please try to update your browser?

To get a better idea of your local setup:

  • Do you have any other applications running when using Webflow? If so which ones?
  • Do you have multiple tabs / windows open on Chrome typically when using Webflow?
  • Do you have multiple Designer instances open at one time?
  • Do you have any ISP / network connection or speed issues?
