Google plus embed causing problems

I added the google plus code (from the google plus site) as an embed at the bottom right of my page. It shows up as it should, but there is also a “google+” link that shows up at the top of my site on the live site.

You can see at the top, the “google+” link in blue (yuk).
Why is it there? How can I get rid of it? (Note: The google plus box appears as it should at the bottom of the page.)

Adding that widget will be easier for you =)

Never ask for compliments. Rather, ask for constructive criticism. Learning where you fail makes you stronger faster than learning where you have already succeeded.

Thanks PixelGeek, but that g+ widget doesn’t get me the type of widget I want. If you check out the site, you’ll see what I’m going for is a cool box with a picture a +1 and a follow.

Seems you have a link there, just remove the link code in the embed.

Remove that, and the link to google plus will not show in top left

Thanks Cyberdave. I was able to track down the source of the problem. It was not the google+ code in the embed widget, it was a line of code google asked me to put in the head area – the google+ link. So now I have my goggle+ cool widget and no icky google+ link at the top of the page.
