Help centering divblocks within divblocks

I’m trying to center the red-filled div block as well as the light blue div blocks in the blog content blocks on my homepage. I’ve played with flex and all sorts of things and can’t seem to get it! I tried setting the width of the upper level div block but then it overflows on the mobile page. Help?

This was incredibly helpful! Thank you so, so much! All of this worked perfectly, except on the mobile page it’s only showing one block now instead of the three. What am I doing wrong?
