Help with my fixed menu and hero image

Hello,

I’m noticing when my website loads that my fixed nav menu briefly appears when the site first loads and then disappears until the user scrolls and it appears again (which is what it’s meant to do) how do I fix this from happening. I don’t want it to show up briefly when site first loads.

Also, the hero image is not loading smoothly. It’s takes a good 1-2 secs before it fully loads. (see my link to site) also please take a look at gojoberrydesigns.com to see what I’m talking about.

Can someone please help on how to fix these two issues?

Simply give it a display setting of none to make it hide on page load.
