Hero image loads slower than the rest - pls help

Hi Guys,

I built my first website via Webflow just now (CLAP-CLAP!).

I am the most basic/lowest-level of understanding here, so kindly note that.

Question: why do my Hero Images load more slowly than the rest?
My other stakeholders complain they’re way too slow.

Hi @Alexander_Patterson, your images are generally too big. They weight about 1,5 Mo as seen in the asset manager. Try optimize them a bit to get them down to about 200 Ko or so. You can try this online compressor as well: https://tinyjpg.com/ Also, make sure the image you use is cropped to fit the layout you want to use on your site.
