How to edit or delete elements in tablet version while not changing the desktop version

I'm trying to make certain changes in the Tablet version such as editing the display text of a link (or deleting that link), while not effecting the Desktop version?

Any Style change you make on a device version only affects the devices under him. So it never affect the Desktop.

However, when you delete a thing, it's gone everywhere. So rather use the Style property Display:none, it will only affect the devices underneath.
