How to keep Contact Forms running after GDPR

Now that forms won’t work on exported sites anymore, is there a simple way to keep your contact forms running? This article recommends changing the post method to send directly to a custom email address: Collect form submissions on exported sites | Webflow University

Like this:
action="mailto:someone@example.com" — method=“post”

But this method doesn’t seem to work. My messages don’t even get sent. Is there any other way to do this? I’ve read something about connecting your form to MailChimp to collect sign-up data but I don’t think this is going to help me with my contact form…or is it? Are there any other services around?

I need to finish my current project so I’m thankful for every suggestion.
Thanks in advance :slight_smile:

Hello @HerrKropp

As you can read in this article:

https://webflow.com/feature/changes-to-forms

Forms are not going to work any longer on exported sites so you need to follow the below instructions in order to keep using forms in your site:

In that article there’s a Mailchimp tutorial but you can connect pretty much any mail service to your sites.

@aaronocampo

How do I connect any mail service when I don´t have that aciton link?
I tried mailchimp, but that service isn´t showing messages from the text field in my contact form.
Would appreciate your help!

Hello @Twan

I’m making a tutorial about this, once I finish it I’ll post it here.
