How to make a drop down menu slide in / out

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to make a dropdown menu slide in and out when clicked. I have added an interaction to the drop down list 'move' but I can't place the Z location of the list to be under the nav bar (so it goes behind it).
Any help would be much appreciated.

Give a class to the dropdown item and zindex 10
Give a class to the dropdown list and zindex 5

Use the line height of the dropdown item to set the height of the navbar and it will mask the list entirely
