I am unable to paste icons in text blocks, which led me to use images, but images are scaling down with my animations.

You could try copy/pasting emojis. Icons are assets that can’t be inserted into text.
But emojis will disappear with your text block, after the sidebar collapses …
To avoid shrinking images, you could try absolute positioning relative to their parent. Alternatively, set the images to a fixed size and let the sidebar (including padding) not shrink smaller than that.
