Keeping Object in view once shown after interaction

Hi

I creating a site and I have an animation where a section is shown after a click interaction. The only problem is that the object is just following the scroll of the page behind it and i want the viewport to focus only on the object that comes out, then once that object is hidden again the rest of the page can scroll again. Is there anyway to do this?
