Live site not working like preview site

Hi my live published site doesn’t work like it does in the preview site anymore. I think it may be a bug because it was working fine and works fine in preview mode.

One of the affected sections: https://www.flowglobemedia.com/#work
What it’s suppose to look like:

The other affected section: https://www.flowglobemedia.com/#contact
What it’s suppose to look like:

Live site looks exactly like in the screenshots above. Is this still an issue for you?

Hi @samliew,

This is what they look like for me I go to https://www.flowglobemedia.com via chrome:

Hi @nathanphilsteele, I am having trouble spotting whats different between the preview in the designer and the published page. Could you highlight the area on the page that is different? Thanks in advance!

Hi @cyberdave ,

It’s the space between the top of the section and the Header of the section… there isn’t any padding on the official published site while it gives the correct spacing on the preview site. “Contact & Connect” you can see where it trims the top of the header off.

Please let me know if you still need me to highlight,

Thanks @cyberdave ,

Nathan

Hi @nathanphilsteele, thanks for the update.

I think this might be happening only when the anchor link is changed directly on the address bar, after the page has been loaded once and when navigating between anchor links, the page offset to the nav menu is not calculated.

Take a peek at my video, does this help? Or am I completely off and it is something different you are experiencing?

Thanks in advance, let me know your comments, I am here to help.

Hi @cyberdave,

The cut-off when clicking the menu nav items only happens in chrome.

It works fine in firefox and safari. Thoughts on what might be causing this and how to resolve it?

Thanks @cyberdave,

Nathan

I’m using Chrome Version 54.0.2840.98 (64-bit) on a macbook pro, if that helps

Thanks @cyberdave,

Nathan

Is there custom code where I don’t have to refresh but accounts for whatever Chrome is unable to handle?

Best,

Nathan

Hi @nathanphilsteele, thanks for the browser info, it looks like you might have an old version of Chrome installed, so good idea to update that first to version Version 55.0.2883.95 (64-bit). Click Chrome then About Google Chrome to check the version and update.

The video I made above showing all the links working was using Chrome version Version 55.0.2883.95 (64-bit).

I have not yet been able to observe the issue in Safari or Chrome, so it might be good to check the Chrome version then restart the browser.

Thanks, I will be waiting to hear back.

Regards,
Dave

Hi Dave,

I restarted my chrome browser and I now have version Version 55.0.2883.95 (64-bit). With that said, I’m still seeing the same behavior.

Is it then my computer, somehow? It’s weird, though. It wasn’t an issue until recently.

I bought a refurbished because I wanted a 17" and then I had it upgraded so to the latest: hard drive, memory, etc.

Best,

Nathan

Hi @nathanphilsteele, is it possible for you to record a screencast with the issue, or would you have time to jump on a quick screenshare with me, that we can both look at same time? If you have time, I can send you a private message with a browser link to share what you are seeing on the screen and we can both look at same time.

Let me know and I will send you a browser screenshare link.

Oh dang! Hey Dave! I got side tracked! Big time! I know I would raise cane if you guys did it to me, so I’ve very sorry

Best,

Nathan
