Making a clickable Image Gallery (Not Lighbtox)

I’m using Google Chrome as a browser.

Here is the screenshot of the issue:

I’m using Tabs to make a clickable gallery. But as you can see there’s a problem with the image border. The bottom border doesn’t show up. It maybe because I’m using Tabs within Tabs, but I’m unsure.

Q1: Is there a way to fix this border issue?

Q2: If not, then is there a way to make this clickable gallery without using Tabs or Lightbox?
