Margins suddenly not working for text fields

Hey there, I’m having a bizarre issue where I can’t adjust the margins or positioning of my text fields.

This issue just started about 10 minutes ago. All of a sudden all of my text fields smooshed together and any elements that were positioned relatively inside the text fields got thrown out.

I know this isn’t site dependent because I have 3 different versions of my site (listed below) and it’s happening to all 3.

The best way to see the behavior is to go to the components page listed below and then scroll down to the “Text Field” section.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, @ptrnelson!

I did some investigating and on my end it looks like all your margins and positioning is working as expected.

See this image:

CloudApp

Would you be able to use a tool like Cloud App to provide me with some screenshots or a short video about this issue?

Can you try viewing/working on these pages in Incognito mode and see if the issue persists.

If it does, please take a screenshot of your Console and send it to me: How to get console

Could you also please let me know what browser version you’re using by sending me your information from this page https://www.whatismybrowser.com/

I’ll be looking for your reply!

Hey @rileyrichter, thanks for taking a look. I haven’t published the pages since the errors occurred so that’s why they’re not showing up on the public facing pages.

Here our a couple screenshots from the editor from two different sites

I’m using Chrome on a MacBook Pro with the OS 10.14.4. I also tried Incognito mode and cleared my cache but the behavior still persists. I also re-booted my computer to see if that would help but, nay, it did not.

Thanks again for your help!

I’m having the same issue! My published site looks as expected, but the webflow designer view of the project seems to ignore the margins of certain elements. this only started happening today.

All of my backups of the site seem to inherit the issue which make me thing it is something larger that’s happening.

Thanks @rileyrichter

Hy there,

I’m also dealing with similar issues! Published my site just a few hours ago and everything looks normal. but in my webflow designer quite everything is screwed up, backups also seem to be affected.

Im dealing with a deadline tomorrow, so this situation is pretty horrible

Edit:
@Collin_Arnold came up with a workaround that helps!
