Missing video files on exported site

Some missing video files when exporting a site, the error message is:

The following files failed to download during site export. Please check them in the designer assets view (images) or dashboard (fonts).

videos/BG-Video_6-transcode.mp4
videos/BG-Video_6-transcode.webm

I have checked the assets panel in designer and the videos don’t appear there but I don’t think background video files are saved or appear in this panel by design? (not sure about that though). I’ve also checked out the list of similar topics but they mostly relate to images rather than BG video.

Thanks so much for posting about this issue. I was able to make a copy of your site and import it. Once it was imported, I was able to export without any files missing. I sent those files to you in a DM.

There are a few factors which could cause this, your internet connection, ISP (internet service provider) issues, older browser versions, browser extensions, or of course a bug.

Can you please test the following on your end:

(1) Try to reproduce the error while being logged into Webflow using Incognito mode with browser extensions turned off: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464

(2) If the problem persists, please take a screenshot of your Console and send it to me: https://cl.ly/1c8d19690210

(3) Could you please let me know what browser version you’re using by sending me your information from this page https://www.whatismybrowser.com/

It sounds like one of your Chrome extensions may be causing the issue since it worked in Incognito mode! Glad to hear you were able to export.

We do have a list of some extensions that are known to cause issues with Webflow, but this list is by no means extensive: https://university.webflow.com/article/troubleshooting-designer-issues#extensions-known-to-cause-issues-with-webflow

In the future, disabling extensions, or exporting in Incognito mode should solve the issue.

It seems "All Video Downloader Professional 3.6.4 was causing the issue for me.

Once removed the export works flawlessly.
