Noob question and maybe I’m overlooking something but when loading the website on ipad/iphone, it regularly just puts me onto any section and then I have to scroll back to the top. Any fixes for this please?

Which page exactly? It might happen if you have a contact form or something, and your input object has autofocus option set on.
I had autofocus fields turned on in my form but have since disabled those. The problem still exists.
