Hi

I had added a CMS field as plain text for a full description in one of my sites. I want to know if I can change that CMS field plain text to Rich text without deleting existing descriptions. There are 200 resources already added as plain text and I’m looking for solutions where I don’t have to delete anything.

You can’t turn a field to a different field, but can’t you:

Export all items
delete all items
delete your text field
add you rt field
import back all items, binding the text to the new rt field ?

You mean delete all the 200+ resources?

If you really don’t want to delete the 200+ resources, you can use PowerImporter to update them with a CSV import.
