Problems integrating Facebook albums

#1

Hi,

I’m trying to implement Facebook albums into a project as Galleries are not a function of the CMS yet! I’ve found this - https://github.com/dejanstojanovic/Facebook-Album-Browser, which grabs photo albums from a Facebook account and shows them as an album.

This would be great as it would not only allow the site editor to change photos but would also host the photos too! This CodePen example (static site) works perfectly, but, when I add the CSS and JS files to my WebFlow project header tags, it throws the following error on console:

Uncaught TypeError: $(...).FacebookAlbumBrowser is not a function
at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (recent-work:12)
at j (jquery.min.js:2)
at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (jquery.min.js:2)
at Function.ready (jquery.min.js:2)
at HTMLDocument.K (jquery.min.js:2)

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Here is the preview link - https://preview.webflow.com/preview/eridge-green-kitchens?preview=a1f95835301b732b0ba619f9a4e210be

You’re doing it wrongly.

How to embed files hosted on Github

Thanks, followed the instructions, now in Footer Code (site settings) but no luck…

Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined

I don’t see any errors now.

#5

Is there a reason why it doesn’t show any albums, or anything at all?

#6

Code is still not in the footer. No JavaScript in embed code blocks!

Thanks @samliew

Hi mhzone,
You can try using Facebook plugin: https://elfsight.com/facebook-feed-widget/ - this is a multifunctional plugin, allowing you to show photos, albums, videos, feed, events and other.
In your case, I tried to set the plugin so that it shows only photos:

I think, it is an interesting variant. So if you decide to try it, here’s a detailed installation tutorial: https://elfsight.com/help/how-to-add-facebook-feed-to-webflow/ (if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask, I will do my best to answer them).
