Problems with Editor

Hi Guys,

I have a problem with a project I am working on. I have the site sat here

https://westburygroup.webflow.io/

All is lovely.

When a client logs in to edit content, the links to the products and services are all completely wrong - and show a URL I have no idea where it was generated from…

For example:

https://westburygroup.webflow.io/air-filters/air-filters

shows up as

https://westburygroup.webflow.io/portfolio-pages/works-1

in the editor…

I really have no idea what is going on here, but I know it’s driving me and the client mental. Any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Charlie

(how to share your site Read-Only link)

Hi Charlie, I took a quick look and didn’t find any misnamed folders or collections. It could be something that is being inherited from a template or something like that. Have you tried unpublishing and republishing the site?

Hi Alan, Thanks for taking a look. It was a temp I used to make the site…I have unpublished and published again but to no avail.

It did used to work perfectly, but now it’s throwing up errors…

Do you know of a way to highlight this to the Webflow team, or do they participate in these forums>

Many thanks

Yeah, in this case I guess we could use the help of @Waldo or @cyberdave. Or you could send an email to support@webflow.com

Does it work on Incognito mode?

Best of luck!

Hi, @CharlieW! I’m so sorry to hear about the problems you’re facing with the Editor, but the good news is I’m here to help!

I am investigating your site now and I’ll post here again today as soon as I know more!

Hi, @CharlieW! I made a copy of your site and imported it for testing and I am not seeing any links that are different in the Editor vs. the published site. But, I am not giving up. Let’s keep digging!

Can you please test the following on your end:

(1) Try to reproduce the error while being logged into Webflow using Incognito mode with browser extensions turned off: Browse in private - Computer - Google Chrome Help

(2) Can you please open the Editor to where your links are broken and take a screenshot of your Console and post it here: How to get console

(3)Could you please let me know what browser version you’re using by sending me your information from this page? Feel free to send it in a direct message if you’d rather not post that information here in the thread. https://www.whatismybrowser.com/

Hi @rileyrichter,

I’m using Chrome Version 73.0.3683.86. I think my client is using Chrome as well.

The links aren’t broken as such, they are just wrong…They send the user to a different destination when they are in editor.

I’ll try Incognito, but not sure if my client will do that.

Fingers crossed you can help me out here

Thanks, @CharlieW!

Thanks for that information! If you’re experiencing the same thing as your client no need for both of you to follow these steps. Just you walking through them should suffice! Thanks so much!

Tried Incognito Ben but still have the same problem…

So sorry, @CharlieW.

Would you be able to use a tool like Cloud App to provide me with a short video about this issue?

I am flagging this as a bug and escalating the issue. Would love to have a short video of the issue to go along with the documentation.

Try this mate

CloudApp

Thanks so much for sharing! It looks like as a workaround you can use the pages tab at the bottom to navigate the site for now. I am notifying the team and I’ll let you know as soon as have more information!

Hay Ben,

Thats what I told the client to do, which I think he was doing
