Product collection does not contain any items

I am trying to add a collection list to the homepage of my website but when i link the collection list to the product collection it says there are no items. I’m not sure why this is the case because I have added all my products and they are showing up when i go to the ecommerce tab?

Anyone any ideas?

I’ve answered my own question. Products status was set to draft. It needs to be staged for publish
