Project Transfer Help

I am planning to develop a website like https://mckirdytrained.com and transfer the hosting to another hosting provider. I have few questions:

  1. Which guideline/help to read which talks about developing the website in webflow and transferring all the files/data to another hosting provider without any issue.
  2. For this do i need account plan or site plan?
  3. I need some video content and blogs in my website. Can you suggest some good template for same which can give similar feature/layout like https://mckirdytrained.com/ (no e-commerce required)? Free or paid template will work

Really appreciate any pointers for this

Welcome to the community @Ratan_Prasad!

  1. Which guideline/help to read which talks about developing the website in webflow and transferring all the files/data to another hosting provider without any issue.

You can read up on exporting your project code here in the Webflow University.

Depending on your desired hosting option, you may want to look into the Udesly Adapter to convert exported projects to use in a number of other hosting options including WordPress, Shopify, Ghost, and Netlify.

  1. For this do i need account plan or site plan?

Code export is only available with a paid Account plan (Lite or Pro), but since you’ll be hosting outside of Webflow you won’t need a Site plan. Keep in mind that any CMS or Ecommerce functionality added in the Designer will not work outside of Webflow’s own Site plan options, however you can export the data and connect it to your hosting solution of choice as needed.

I normally don’t work with templates so I can’t recommend anything specifically, but you can preview all of the available templates either in your browser or within the Webflow Designer to see if they’ll work out for you.

That said, the site you linked is fairly straightforward and can probably be built by using the newly introduced Prebuilt Layouts. Since you only need to pay once you’re ready to host or export a site (with limitations shown below), you can start playing around with the layouts yourself to see if they’ll work out before needing to consider a template.

Hopefully that helps, but feel free to reach out if you have any other questions :v:
