Question re interaction and collections

Hello. Just a general conceptual question please as I’m just introducing myself to webflow.

Is it possible to have two buttons, and generate an interaction such that when button A is clicked it populates an image element with image 1 from a collection, and if button B is clicked re-populates the same image element with image 2 from a collection?

No, you can load both and hide 2. Then when a button is clicked you can display 2 on top of 1.
