Same background for centered section + column

Hi,

I’m trying to figure out how to get a background under a centered section + 4 column below it + a centered section below. Here’s a visual representation and below you’ll find the links to the live site and to preview the project where you’ll find that area without the background. I can’t nest columns inside containers or sections and not sure how this can be handled so I can get the background under the whole thingie.

Thanks a ton for helping me figure it out

Hi @Jussi, this is strictly an opinion based help and review. You are the designer and therefore it is how you see fit to build out your design. However, here are some thoughts that I would recommend for your layout.

  1. DO NOT use columns. You have FlexBox and Grid at your disposal that will give you better functionality and ease of use
  2. Why are you using columns in your nav bar? Use Flexbox or Grid here as well.
  3. Don’t forget to use the “section” block for all of your middle layouts. For example, the image you have listed in this feed has a section for the title of your section and then your image columns are NOT placed in that section as well.
  4. When you use the “section” block you will be able to center your background image and it will stay centered throughout your breakpoints.
