SEO setting in Webflow vs. domain provider

Instead of using my site’s Settings > SEO > Google Site Verification, I added a TXT record to my site’s DNS settings. Google search console accepted it and it appears to have been crawled by Google.

My question is what’s the difference between doing it this way and adding the Google Search ID to Settings > SEO > Google Site Verification? Is one way better than the other or does it not matter? Thanks!

They’re just means to connect Google services to your site, there’s various ways. But once it’s done and it works, it’s done, so there’s not one better than the other.
