Sticking particles to an image?

Hi,

Is there a way for the particles around the header image to be fixed to it, but still be responsive?

In a later stage I’d like to us a clipping mask for the header image, but that means the particles have to be different images. Right now they are pinned down with absolute positioning, but they aren’t responsive…

Any tips?
