Sticky sidebar works on preview, but not when published?

Hello,
I’m trying to create a sticky sidebar on my blog page that features popular posts, a search bar, and social links that will follow you down the page as you scroll. The sidebar works perfectly in the preview, but when published does not work at all. I’ve read several former posts that suggested it may be the overflow settings, but I have checked all of those and can’t find any instance where they are set to auto/scroll/hidden. I can’t find any max heights set either, so I’m totally stumped! I’ve tried everything I can think of, including rebuilding it several times with and without columns. I could really use some help :frowning:

Hi Melissa, welcome to the forum

position:sticky does not work well (or at all) when one of the sticky element’s parents have a property fo overflow:hidden (the body element)

aaand as a side note:

Try not to use overflow:hidden as a default, especially not on the body. If you have elements that exceeds the viewport borders, try to fix it on the same level.

Thank you SO much! I feel very silly–I could’ve sworn I checked the body element as well. Really appreciate your help!
