Superscripted text

#1

How does one create superscripted text in Webflow?

Superscript Please (and Subscript too)

there is currently no way to do this. (or i'm not aware of it yet)

But you can try it like this: http://screencast.com/t/DbxWS3vho

here's the script you can put:

<script>
$(document).ready(function(){
$('.sup').wrap('<sup></sup>');
})
</script>

you can learn more about jQuery wrap(), here: https://api.jquery.com/wrap/

@PixelGeek is right, there's no native way to do it yet, but it's right around the corner!

Also, you can enter tags directly inside an Embed Block, but that's obviously not ideal.

We're adding and to the native text editor very soon.

Are these functions ready now?

If you don't want to use jQuery, here is the same with Javascript... just use the class name "superscript" for each span of text you want to affect. I'm sure there is a more elegant way to do this, but it works:

<script>
var x = document.getElementsByClassName("superscript");
var i;
var y;
for (i = 0; i < x.length; i++) {
   y=x[i].innerHTML;
   x[i].innerHTML = "<sup>" + y + "</sup>";
}
</script>

Is the superscript/subscript function included now?

I'm trying to add a small superscripted £ sign to large text but cannot change to superscripted text in Webflow. Any help would be great.

I'm very surprised we don't have this yet. Need to be able to do this quickly, easily, and simply for adding all those little R's and TM's.

I wait with bated breath!

#8

Any update on this, @callmevlad? It's been two years since that post and it'd be nice to know it's in the pipeline!

#9

Any updates? Maybe I am missing the definition on "very soon".

#10

Superscript and subscript would be nice! :grinning:

#11

I need superscript again today! :grinning:

#12

I'm guessing this has been put off? Trying to see if/where this function is and not seeing it.
