This site can't be reached. ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

I just published my site last Sunday https://www.nathanphilsteele.com/. I used the godaddy quick add domain feature (very awesome, btw). And here is webflow url https://preview.webflow.com/preview/nathans-personal-portfolio-site?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=dashboard&utm_content=nathans-personal-portfolio-site&preview=d16b08c55fd95ce19c35380b539f468a&mode=preview.

I was trying to show my website to some folks I really needed them to see and they got the below error using chrome while on a PC.

"This site can’t be reached

The connection was reset.
Try:

  • Checking the connection
  • Checking the proxy and the firewall
  • Running Windows Network Diagnostics

ERR_CONNECTION_RESET"

I found this, but I want to make sure that I’m absolutely covered on my side before I suggest they do some things are their side.

Best,

Nathan

Hi there,

After making DNS updates at your domain’s DNS provider, it can take several hours for DNS to update fully (DNS propagation).

In the meantime, if you have set A records for your root domain and a CNAME www record, then make sure the www is set as the default.
(https://university.webflow.com/article/setting-a-default-domain#fix-the-err_too_many_redirects error)

Then republish your project to the www.

Note that web browsers have caching also, so sometimes it can help to check again in an incognito browser window after any updates.

If any further issues, please reach out to Webflow support team.

In Chrome, this error usually comes with the 101 code, while on Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc. the display message of this error is “The connection was reset,” indicating the same connection problem.
